Food Services

Surf City Cafe strives to provide healthy, tasty and appealing meals using local ingredients whenever possible and to give fun and friendly, informed customer service and nutritional education to all our students in a positive, equitable and safe environment.

We made the list of America's Healthiest Schools for the third year in a row!

We're so proud that all of our schools have been named to The Alliance for a Healthier Generation's list of America's Healthiest Schools! Hear from staff how we have expanded food access, local farm relationships and scratch cooking; and hear from students why it's so nice to have fresh local fruits and vegetables in the quad!

We also provide nutritional support for each school to assure maximum student achievement, adhering to the nutritional standards set by the USDA in the National School Lunch Program.

​

Surf City Cafe staff assigned to individual schools ensure that breakfast, brunch, lunch, supper and after school snack programs throughout the district meet the needs of students and staff. In the last few years, our incredible Food Services team has expanded relationships with local farms, reduced waste and packaging in all our kitchens, reduced sugar and salt in food served to students & expanded nutrition education for all grades!
