As part of our ongoing efforts to establish the strongest safety measures for our hybrid opening, Santa Cruz City School has completed a sweeping ventilation, filtration and indoor air system upgrade at every one of our school sites.
Our goals have been to follow the most up to date data on the transmission of COVID-19 to ensure indoor environments exceed safety recommendations, so that fresh air is replaced every 15 minutes and that our filtration capacity is significantly upgraded to make indoor transmission as difficult as possible.
Full field tests of our systems have now been completed for
Gault,
Westlake,
Bay View and
DeLaveaga elementary schools, as well as at our
Branciforte Small Schools campus. The results show that we have met all of our targets for indoor safety, and we are excited to be ready for our hybrid opening.
