They always say there's no definitive handbook to being parents, but we can all help each other along the way! Here's what's coming up soon:

Discussion / Q&A with Dr. Adriana Galván:
The Teenage Brain: The Importance of Making Connections
January 26th at Harbor High 6pm

Join us for an exploration of the teenage brain and how it develops connections. Learn the science behind adolescent
behavior, and how to support the teenagers in your life. This in-person event will feature interactive sessions and expert speakers to help you navigate the complexities of the
teenage brain. Don't miss out on this opportunity to gain valuable insights and strategies!

Discussion will be led by Dr. Adriana Galván, Professor of Psychology and Dean and Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education at UCLA, as well as Co-Executive Director of the UCLA Center for the Developing Adolescent. A leading neuroscientist, she studies how the adolescent brain develops and how this research can inform policies that support young people.

Fentanyl High February 23rd at Santa Cruz High

Join us for a documentary screening of Fentanyl High: a documentary built on the testimonials and insights of families affected by Fentanyl use and its impacts.

These screenings serve as a starting point for the conversation about the dangers and prevalence of fentanyl. 

Family Collaborative: 
Cara y Corazon
Starting again in the spring!

Cara y Corazon is a culturally-based family empowerment program that helps provide connections & pathways to success for families.

Our weekly meetings are held in both English and Spanish, led by Jaime Molina of the National Compadres Network. If you're wondering why to join in Cara y Corazon,
Jaime can tell you:

Each week, presenters will share strategies for connecting within the family, building ties to the wider community and succeeding as parents in Santa Cruz. Working together to connect with culture and each other, we also help families support their kids build their cultural identity. Join us to:
