Helping Your Kids Thrive in the Digital Age

Screenagers: Elementary School Age Edition explores the latest research, expert insights and advice to help students, parents and educators navigate screens and the digital age.

Julie Atkinson: local positive discipline educator, teacher, and mom who works closely with families to navigate technology and its impact on children’s behavior.

 

Erin Crowley: psychotherapist specializing in children and anxiety disorders, and a school counselor, who brings a deep understanding of how screens impact kids’ emotional health.

Middle School E-Bike Safety Program

Starting next fall, all middle schoolers who want to park an E-bike on campus will have to complete a safety course & receive a bike registration sticker.​

 

Join our webinar on April 28th at 6pm where we will provide an overview of the course, discuss road safety, E-bike laws and battery charging safety. and end with a Q&A!

We're thrilled to be providing this new safety course, in partnership with Ecology Action, the City of Santa Cruz and the Santa Cruz Police Department!

Family Collaborative: 
Cara y Corazon
Starting again next year!

Cara y Corazon is a culturally-based family empowerment program that helps provide connections & pathways to success for families.

Our weekly meetings are held in both English and Spanish, led by Jaime Molina of the National Compadres Network. If you're wondering why to join in Cara y Corazon,
Jaime can tell you:

Each week, presenters will share strategies for connecting within the family, building ties to the wider community and succeeding as parents in Santa Cruz. Working together to connect with culture and each other, we also help families support their kids build their cultural identity. Join us to:

  • Connect (or reconnect) with community & culture

  • Find pathways to family empowerment

  • Find & Maintain strength in your roots

  • Childcare for young kids

  • Activities for Kids 12+
